Book Formatting for Print (Paperback and Hard Cover)

Includes title page, copyright page, dedication, table of contents, acknowledgments, and author bio. Final files delivered as print‑ready PDFs.

To give you accurate pricing, projects are grouped into three categories:

Simple

    • Text with chapter numbers and/or titles
    • Fewer than 5 images
    • Minimal structural elements

Price: $99–$149 (request quote)
Best for: Novels, memoirs, narrative nonfiction

Medium

    • Chapter titles
    • Headings
    • Bulleted or numbered lists
    • Up to 50 additional elements (images, tables, charts, equations, footnotes, endnotes)

Price: $179–$399 (request quote)
Best for: Nonfiction, instructional books, illustrated memoirs

Complex

    • Multi‑level headings
    • Extensive lists
    • More than 50 additional elements (images, tables, charts, equations, footnotes, endnotes, hyperlinks, cross‑references)

Price: $249–$2,500 (request quote)
Best for: Textbooks, technical books, academic works, heavily illustrated nonfiction

EPUB Conversion (eBook Formatting)
Includes clickable table of contents, active links, and popup footnotes.

    • Simple: $0.15 per page
    • Medium: $0.40 per page
    • Complex: $0.75 per page

EPUB files are compatible with Amazon KDP, Apple Books, Kobo, and other major platforms.

Indexing
Print books only.

$0.01 per word

Includes tagging index terms throughout the manuscript and generating a clean, comprehensive index for medium or complex books. (Indexes are not used in eBooks.)

What I Need for a Firm Quote

Please include the following details:

      • Book genre
      • Word count (body of book)
      • Number of illustrations, figures, images, tables, equations, or other added material
      • Trim size (6×9, 5×8, etc.)
      • Any specific design preferences
      • Your contact information and time zone
      • Indicate if you also need an EPUB

Additional Services:

Copyediting – $0.01-$0.05 per word, depending on type/complexity of book. Covers spelling, grammar, punctuation, consistency, and clarity. Email karennewton1@gmail.com for a quote.

ISBNs and Barcodes – $110.00 per ISBN (one needed for each format, i.e., paperback and hard cover); $25 for each barcode (one needed for each format)

    • The publisher of record/imprint on your title page will be Riveting Dreams Publishing.

Consulting Services – First 30 minutes free. $30.00 per hour after, billed in 15-minute increments. Idea generation, planning assistance, etc.

Cover Template (front cover/back cover/spine) Creation – $15.00 each

Uploading Book Files to Publishing Sites – $15.00 per site

    • Suggested publishing sites: Amazon (book & ebook), IngramSpark (book & ebook), and Draft2Digital (ebook)

Author Page Creation – $25.00 for one, $40 for two, $55 for three
